How do I get an account?
There is no public signup: your school administration creates your account and hands you the credentials. That is how we guarantee everyone on the platform is actually known to the school.
Is the app paid for parents?
No. The school covers the platform subscription, and the Minela app is completely free for parents.
How does bus tracking work, and whose location is shared?
Only during an active trip, the driver’s device broadcasts its location so the bus appears on the map. Parent and student locations are never collected.
I have more than one child at the school. Do I need multiple accounts?
One account is enough: all your children appear in the same app, each with their own profile, attendance, marks and bus.
What is the difference between Minela and Minela Staff?
Minela is for parents and shows only their children’s data. Minela Staff is for supervisors, teachers and drivers, with school-day tools scoped to each role.
Does the app support English?
Yes. Both apps are Arabic-first with a full English interface, and you can switch language in settings at any time.
How is the final grade calculated?
The school defines assessment types and their weights (quizzes, homework, exams…), and the system computes the weighted total automatically and shows it on the report card.
