1. Description of the service
Minela («من إلى») is a school management platform provided to subscribed schools. It comprises: the Minela app for parents (following grades, attendance, fees, live school-bus tracking, notifications, and more), the Minela Staff app for school staff (dashboards, attendance recording, mark sheets, timetables, bus fleet management, student and fee management), and this website. The service is provided to each school under a separate subscription agreement between the school and Minela; these terms govern individual users’ use of the apps.
2. School-managed accounts
- There is no public signup in the apps: your account is created by your school’s administration and its permissions are tied to your role (supervisor, teacher, driver, parent).
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials (verification codes, password) confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify your school immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
- The school administration may modify your account’s permissions, suspend it, or delete it in accordance with its internal policies.
- The account must be used only by the person it was created for and must not be shared with others.
3. Acceptable use
When using the service you agree not to:
- attempt to access data, accounts, or systems you are not authorized to access;
- impersonate any person or entity, or provide misleading information;
- upload or publish content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes others’ rights or privacy;
- disrupt the service, circumvent security measures, or conduct penetration testing without prior written permission;
- scrape data automatically, or resell the service or any part of it;
- misuse bus location data or student data, share it with any unauthorized party, or use it outside its intended educational purpose.
We and the school may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules.
4. Content and data
Data and content entered by the school and its staff (student records, photos, announcements, etc.) remain the school’s property and responsibility; the school grants us an operational license to process and display it within the service only. Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Subscription and termination
- Your access to the service depends on your school’s active subscription; it ends when the subscription ends or when the school terminates your account.
- When a subscription or account ends, access to the apps stops, and data is handled as described in the privacy policy and the school’s subscription agreement.
- You may request deletion of your account at any time as described on the account deletion page.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation; the service may pause temporarily for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We may also improve, modify, or discontinue features, notifying subscribed schools of material changes.
7. Limitation of liability
- The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional express or implied warranties.
- Displayed bus locations are approximate and are affected by network quality, satellite signal, and the driver’s device; they must not be relied upon as the sole safety mechanism for accompanying or receiving children.
- The accuracy of the educational and financial records displayed is the responsibility of the school that entered them; the school’s official records are the final reference.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost profits, and in all cases our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the relevant school for the service during the twelve months preceding the claim.
- Nothing above limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
The platform, its apps, its design, and the «من إلى» / Minela name and logo belong to Minela or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal right to use the apps under these terms; you may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the service except to the extent permitted by law.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of [jurisdiction — to be determined], whose courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, unless the school’s subscription agreement provides otherwise. Before any legal proceedings, we seek to resolve disputes amicably through direct communication.
10. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. We will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date and inform subscribed schools of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after an amendment takes effect constitutes acceptance of it.
