Our accounts are managed by the school
There is no public signup in the Minela apps: your account was created and is managed by your school’s administration. You can therefore have your account deleted in two ways:
Option 1 — through your school (fastest)
Contact your school’s administration and request deletion of your account. The administration can carry out the deletion directly from its tools on the platform.
Option 2 — by contacting us directly
Send an email to privacy@minela.net with the subject “Account deletion request”, from the email address registered on your account if one exists, including:
- your full name as registered on the platform;
- the phone number or email address registered on the account;
- the name of the school;
- which app: Minela (parents) or Minela Staff.
We will verify your identity (and may ask for additional information or confirm with the school where necessary) to protect your account from fraudulent deletion requests.
What gets deleted
- Your login account and access to the apps.
- Your personal identifying data: name, phone number, and email address.
- Push notification tokens linked to your devices.
What may remain
- Students’ educational records (grades, attendance, report cards, etc.) are school records retained by the school under its own policies as the data controller — deleting a parent’s account does not delete a student’s school record. For requests concerning your child’s records, contact the school administration.
- Records that the law or accounting requirements oblige us to retain for the statutory period.
Timeline
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days at most after identity verification, and we will confirm completion through the channel you contacted us from.
Notes
- Uninstalling the app from your device does not delete your account or your data — use one of the two options above.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone; if you need an account later, your school will create a new one for you.
- Full details about our data and its processing are in the privacy policy.
